Here in Week 2 of GPL, we see the rise of Purple, as well as a few trends ongoing that are a bit similar to other regions.
KDA & Farm Awards
With an hard-fought win by ahq over IPT, GarnetDevil maintains the Most Kills position, adding 13 more to his previous score in Week 1. Not only that, but he also managed to land another top spot, this time in Most Farm with 312, overtaking TPS' OhReal. His partner, GreenTea, also maintains the Most Assists record, adding an astonding 39 more to last week's,making the bot lane duo look more and more formidable.
Unfortunately for the Philippines, not only do both Filipino teams fail to win a game in Week 2, but they also seem to racing to see who gets the Most Deaths. Right now, it is the Manila Eagles taking the lead with Knut getting a total of 21, overtaking IPT's Rebengga.
It was a Taiwan-dominated week, as every spot is taken over by a Taiwanese player. As QTV failed to perform well this week, the highest KDA for top go to ahq's Prydz with 6.8 . The epic match between his team and Imperium Pro Team stacked up his stats a lot, specifically with his Shyvana carrying hard an rampaging on the GPL rookies late game. His ADC, the already-mentioned GarnetDevil, kept his KDA steady, falling down only 2.5 points less.
The rest of the spots were filled with another Taiwanese team, this time the Taipei Assassins from Group B. With Vietnam losing their matches, Safety fell out of contention and DinTer, with an impressive 10.3, replaces him. Morning and his whimsical Lulu play landed him a jaw-dropping 38 KDA, beating out Westdoor from last week by 24.3. Lastly, Bebe's buddy in the bot lane Jay, with clear-cut initiations and crisp decision-making, takes out SwordArt this wekk with 6.7.
Team KDA
Demolishing both the Saigon Fantastic Five and the Manila Eagles last week, Taipei Assassins claim the KDA throne for now with 10.58. This is even more impressive considering the the 2nd spot, is trailing by 4.33. However, in terms of bloodthrist, ahq still reigns supreme, adding 48 more kills to last week, totalling to 108, as well as 110 more assists, adding it up to 248.
Because of Knut and the rest of the Manila Eagles' poor performance last week, they jumped ahead of the Bangkok Titans in deaths with 87, though Insidious Gaming are nailbitingly close behind with 86.
Most Contested
Kassadin and Elise are still most banned, and Thresh and Gragas are still as hotly contested as the previous week. Dr. Mundo is also slowly becoming a priority pick, as he is now the 2nd most banned, and the 7th most contested pick, a leap from last week's 12th. Another interesting trend is sudden fall-off of Ziggs. It seems that SEA team are preferring another Yordle, Lulu. From zero in Week 1, she was suddenly picked 9 times and banned once. Her strong utility that scales into the late game well it most likely the reason for her popularity, similar to what the other regions are leaning to.
The ADC Trifecta: Lucian, Sivir, and Jinx, are still the only three champions played in that role. It is currently a rock-paper-scissors scenario wherein one team picks an AD Carry to counter the other. Caitlyn, while gaining popularity is other regions, is still unseen here in SEA, and Annie, the third power support, is only picked three more times this week.

- Compared to EU and NA, the three main ADCs of the GPL are Jinx, Lucian, and Sivir. These three AD Carries also hold the most kills in the GPL with 74, 67, and 53 kills respectively.
- Thresh and Leona are the most picked support in the GPL picked 12 times. Both are also the only chmapions to have over 100 assists, and also hold the most deaths.
- Twitch is the only champion to have never died.
- Besides Twitch there are 3 champions with over 10 KDA, Twisted Fate with 12.5 leading the league, Evelynn with 12, and Jax with 11.
- There are 6 champions with 100% win rate. Pantheon also is included in this category with 6 plays.
- Kassadin, like all the other regions holds the most bans with 14 out of the 20 played games. Elise however, joins the Voidwalker in GPL as most banned.
- Elise, Gragas, and Thresh have 100% participation in the GPL being banned or picked in every game.
- Full Louis has played a total of 1 game after 2 weeks, after 3 cancellations.
- MLE is the only team that has under 1 KDA, at 0.94.
- Three out of five members of TPA have a 10 or higher KDA.
