The Chromie Hero Spotlight was just released and it details the latest crazy character that will be entering the Nexus on May 17.
A hero spotlight was just released for Chromie, the next hero entering the Nexus. Chromie is a powerful mage that changes how the game is played. Her Timewalker trait is unique and will provide her with an advantage in a close fight. She's going to be hard to master, but will be very rewarding for the most skilled players.
D (Trait) - Timewalker: Chromie gains her talents one level ahead of other heroes, making her always one step ahead. She gets talents at 1,3,6,9,12,15 and 19.
Q - Sand blast: After 1 second, fire a missile that deals damage to the first enemy Hero hit.
W - Dragon's Breath: Fire a blast into the air that lands after 1.5 seconds, dealing damage to enemies in an area. Enemies cannot see where the blast will land.
E - Time Trap: Place a Time Trap that arms and Stealths after 2 seconds. The first enemy Hero to touch it will be put into Stasis for 2 seconds. Only 1 traps can exist at once.
R - Slowing Sands: Place a sand vortex that greatly slows enemies inside it. The longer it is active the more it slows, up to 50% after 5 seconds.
R - Temporal Loop: Choose an enemy Hero. After 3 seconds, they will teleport back to the location where you cast Temporal Loop on them.
Blizzard's Tips and Tricks
- Chromie will be very powerful at level 9 as she gets her heroic then, and it can easily swing a fight in her favor. Her trait makes any fight between teams the same level (9v9, 19v19) seem unfair because she's already got her talent.
- Sandblast hits hard but the 1 second windup will take some time to master. Try firing from a bush or into a choke point to catch enemies off guard.
- One of the biggest advantages from Dragon's Breath is that it doesn't leave an area of effect indicator and enemies can't see where it will land.
- Time trap can be used as a lot of things - it can be used to stall or even be put in a bush to catch an enemy off guard. It has serious synergy with Temporal Loop, because it can be placed where the enemy will be returned to, guaranteeing that the stun land.
- Slowing Sands will be a major tool in zoning enemies. It can be used to force enemies to fight within the area, or even allow Chromie's team to unload serious amounts of damage.
