C9 is “still alive” in Gold Series Hero League Tournament

Cloud9 struggled against ahq in the loser's bracket, and barely made it out alive.
ahq was pretty much seen as one of the weaker teams going into the Gold Series, but they didn’t look so weak going into round 1 of the losers’ bracket.
After Cloud9 took a rough game 1, game 2 and 3 were practically one sided in ahq’s favor. Going into game 4 it seemed like if Cloud9 had played the same way, all hope of advancing would be lost. The drafts throughout the match were a bit questionable. Neither teamed banned nor picked Kael’thas in game 3 which is surprising considering he’s a favorite in the NA meta right now. Game 4 was just as close as 2 and 3. Level advantages and map objectives being traded back and forth for practically the entire game, but Cloud9 was able to pull out a win, tying the game up 2-2. Game 5, however, was all Cloud9. An aggressive draft bred an aggressive gameplay and led to a simple core takedown.
Fans pretty much used “jetlag” and “unfamiliar territory” as an excuse for C9 losing to to eStar at the beginning of the series. They DID take the win here, but barely and to a team that made it to the playoffs with only one win in the group stages.
Gold Series play commences again on Sunday with round 2 of the losers’ bracket. Matches can be seen in English on twitch.tv/khaldor.
