The EU playoffs of the ESL Major League Season 2 are underway and we have been following them closely. It has been yet another tournament featuing Zeratul in most picks and bans along Jaina and Sylvanas. We also got to see some Lost Vikings action and an Abathur and Azmodan pick and ban.

The day brought great bo5 action with ASH overcoming Roccat (winner of Major League Season 1), using Gela as a standin, turning around a game deficit to close the series 3:1. It has to be mentioned that not only was Gela a standin, but she also had to play Tyrael and Anub'arak in the 3rd and 4th game, tanky heroes that we do not know her for, as she is an assassin player. With that ASH proceeded to the next winners bracket round and Roccat fell to the loser bracket waiting to face the loser from Kinguin vs Gamers 2.

In the other bo5 we witnessed a breathtaking 5 game series between Kinguin and Gamers2. The first game went to Gamers 2 and their well executed double tank composition, but the second game brought something to shake things a bit and earn Kinguing the victory. GerdamHerd locked Abathur and led his team to the victory. In the 3rd game Kinguin tried to bring a mean Azmodan to the table, but Gamers 2 held their own and took the win anyway. The Azmodan seemed to have made an impression on them as they banned him in the 5th game draft along Zagara. The 4th game did not disappoint and went to Kinguin, forcing a 5th final game in which Gamers 2 did not hesitate to win and proceed in the winners bracket. Kinguin fell to the losers bracket where they had to face the Season 1 champions Roccat.

In the loser bracket game, Roccat faced another upset, by losing another bo5 that they started with a win. Kinguin gave them a good fight and the two teams had 4 back and forth games, with 3 of them ending in Kinguin's favour. In the 3rd game Kinguin answered Survol_T's Kael'thas and HasuObs' Jaina with a Nova/Zeratul composition. At level 16 IndividiuM on Nova picked up Overdrive and that sealed the deal in making sure Kael isn't a menace. Jaina also had her trouble with the stealth duo and this ultimately led to Kinguin closing out the game after a few intense fights. With this series being over, the Season 1 champions got kicked out only winning 2 from 8 games they particiapted in.

Make sure to tune in tomorrow at 12:00 CET for ASH vs Gamers 2, determining the Playoff finalist.
