Winsects: Is this game bugged?

Anub'Arak's Beetles got buffed with new brain implants, and they've scuttled him to the top the HotsLogs.com Heroes leaderboards with an impressive 60.9% winrate across all leagues. Even the Bronze Leagues are enjoying the new bug plays, as Anub'Arak tops the Bronze League boards with a 52.5% Winrate. The Lost Vikings remain difficult to master, but still top Master League winrates at 67.3%, beating out Anub'Arak by a miniscule .2% (Anub'Arak's Master League winrate is 67.1%).

Not all insects are created equal, however, as Abathur is 2nd to the bottom of Bronze League play with a 36.9% Winrate, beating out only Tassadar with a 35.9% winrate. In Master Leagues, Sgt. Hammer seems to have been replaced by stronger specialists, as she anchors the leader board with a dismal 45.1% winrate, a full 5% behind Malfurion with a 50.4% winrate. It seems the more feet a Hero has on the ground, the higher the winrate.

On our mini-map: Cloud 9 Vortex

Currently "The Other Cloud 9 Team", Vortex has been struggling to find any sort of consistency in recent play. They have alternated wins and losses over their last nine matches. Currently ranked #17 in our GosuGamers.Net Global Heroes of the Storm Rankings, Cloud 9 Vortex has beaten Stellar Lotus (Rank #205), The Rising Taquitos (Rank #203), compLexity Gaming (Rank #71), and Tempo Storm HotS (Rank #4). However, those wins have been diminished by a loss to their companion team Cloud 9 Maelstrom (Rank #2), and three losses to 2ARC Gaming (Rank #22).

Cloud 9 Vortex will need to figure out how to beat 2ARC Gaming and find a way to string some match victories together if they hope to climb up the GosuGamers.Net World Rankings.

Skins vs skins: Summer social

It's summer time, and the livin's easy. Join Roller Derby Nova as she skates down the Venice Beach boardwalk on the lookout for new hair accessories and casually sniping ice cream cones out of the hands of crying children. Then head down to the beach for a game of Overlord volleyball with Desert Queen Zagara. The only thing more impressive than Zeggy's spike is her surprisingly toned midriff.

If the beach isn't your style (because you don't like sand), then frolic into the woods with Explorer LiLi as she captures cute woodland creatures (and our hearts).  If you're lucky, you'll run into queen of the forest (and blink heals) Monarch Brightwing.  Collect leaves, befriend squirrels, and suppress your high-pitched thoughts of murder.

Storm stream of the week

This week in Storm Stream of the Week we highlight e-Sports icon Grubby. If you have enjoyed Blizzard games int he past, their is no doubt you've encountered Grubby's warm and pleasent demeaner, from WarCraftIII to StarCraftII, and now in Heroes of the Storm.  Grubby describes his stream as, "A fun place to hang out with a positive Heroes of the Storm community where the streamer loves to play, theorise about and talk about Heroes." When asked about his favorite Hero, he responded:

"My favorite Hero right now is Raynor. He plays like a stimmed marine from StarCraft with Focused Attack, Revolution Overdrive, Steel Resolve and I've even been taking Relentless Leader at 16. It's great at stopping Powerslide+Moshpit on you. I think Raynor is underrated. The Penetrating Round (Q) is the key to stop people jumping on you, you wait in between its Cooldowns to get aggressive again. His auto-attack his like a truck."

There you have it folks, Grubby agrees with me that Raynor is OP.  If you like watching high-level Hero League play thoughtfully analyzed in a Dutch accent, and I know I do, you can find Grubby's stream at twitch.tv/FollowGrubby.
