A few days ago we shared what we really think needs to get added to Heroes of the Storm as soon as possible, but today we purely day dream about what we personally would love to see added to the game. Be it a specific character from a game you love, or a map based on an area in World of Warcraft you walked through a million times, here is what's on our wishlists:

When it comes to new heroes it’s a simple answer: I’m a huge fan of retro Blizzard titles and anything Blackthorn or Rock N Roll Racing would be amazing. I also want to see more unique talents in place of generic ones. Blizzard developers have gone on record to say that the generic talents in the game were a way to implement items without actually putting them in the game.
These pseudo items give players choices they immediately understand how to use. Blood for Blood is always effective and regardless of what hero you get it with, you know how to make use of it. While I understand this sort of “neutral item” mechanic is useful when balancing a MOBA, I think it’s clear they don’t belong in Heroes of the Storm.
First it was the removal of Resurgence of the Storm. Then Healing Ward and Protective Shield was nerfed. Then Blood for Blood and Envenom was nerfed. Then Cleanse was nerfed. The trend is clear- these talents don’t help balance, but make it harder.

Another expansion pack akin to the Diablo one has to be in the works. With Overwatch just hitting beta, my gut whispers about Tracer and her friends entering the nexus, but my mind says it’s unlikely. Blizzard’s team shooter is still closed for most of the community and releasing heroes and maps that so many are yet to get acquainted with seems like a bad move. At the same time, we have WoW: Legion and Legacy of the Void coming and my bet is on the WarCraft universe. Give us Maiev, give us Gul’Dan, the iconic characters tied to Illidan as a character. I’m much more of a StarCraft fan myself, but Artanis and Morales have already filled up my hunger for SC content. Then again, we don’t have a StarCraft map yet.

We recently found out that Blizzcon announcements will feature four new heroes and two new maps. In my opinion this will be a warcraft themed expansion in line with the upcoming Legion expansion for WoW. Knowing Blizzard, the announced items will take at least half a year to unfold so this would make a lot of sense. Heroes like Gul’dan, Maiev, Kel’thuzad or even Garrosh are very likely, though I am certain only for Kel’Thuzad and Gul’dan to be announced from the mentioned above. A map featuring a sort of dark portal releasing hordes of demons sounds like a good one to complement the Legion theme.

As far as new Heroes/Battlefields, still being affected by the Overwatch closed beta hype I would love to see Blizzard announce Overwatch heroes already entering the Nexus. But I know that the chances are slim. A hero with slightly higher chances to get announced is Mekkatorque, the goblin inventor, since Blizzard has been considering him for Heroes of the Storm since as early as 2011. I am a big fan of the existence of a hero like Gazlowe in the game, even if he is not at a good place right now, and I could personally see Mekkatorque fill a similar playstyle. The existence of this image, is enough to make me excited.

I really only want one hero; actually I really only need two letters: KT. And no, that doesn't mean Kael'thas that poser. I am of course talking about Kel'thuzad the Archlich. His lore is so amazing, and his ability to bring creatures back from the dead could be implemented in Heroes of the Storm in so many cool ways that I have the fullest confidence that he would (and eventually will) be a perfect addition to the game. The introduction of Kel'thuzad could then be accompanied with a map based on Naxxramas, or is that too much to ask? A Man(Mode) can dream right?

In terms of actual heroes I’d like to see, it would be cool to see them reveal at least 2-3 more heroes at Blizzcon. I expect to see a Starcraft character (Fenix or Mengsk?), one or two Warcraft characters (Zul’jin comes to mind. Lots of people have been saying Gelbin Mekkatorque but I feel like his niche is already filled by Gazlowe), and the final Diablo 3 nephalem (Arcane Wizard, baby!). I’d also like to see another Diablo baddie hero! Someone like Cydaea or Zoltan Kulle would be sweet, but what about a Diablo 2 baddie?! Seeing Baal or Mephisto fight along their brother Diablo would be a dream come true!

So with the release of Legacy of the Void came Artanis. Prior to even that, we were treated with an influx of Diablo heroes and maps under the 'Eternal Conflict.' Now it is time for World of Warcraft (WoW) to represent itself, Warcraft is personally my favorite and I hope lots of Warcraft characters get introduced at Blizzcon. Heck, why not throw in a map such as 'The Timeless Isle' akin to the place in WoW, with Ordos as a boss. That would be something to get hyped for. Realistically, I would like to see a Burning Legion themed map, maybe taking place in Azeroth. A dark, twisted and burning Azeroth.
Now for the hero I want to see revealed, I want the hero to be innovative and new. Let it be something completely outside of the box. This hero would have to be someone of a high caliber in WoW like Sargeras. He could have devastating abilities at the cost of his own health or his allies health pool. I'm not quite sure how to balance it but it would be amazing. Let Heroes get a really epic hero that will make the other games such as Dota and League jealous of. Think about how cool it would be to see dialogue between Arthas and Sargeras. Or Uther and Sargeras. 'Oh dear Light!'
