We at GosuGamers are proud to announce that we're getting back into competitive gaming as the website will have a pro-team once again. The goose will fly once again as today we sign up Janne "Savjz" Mikkonen and Marcin "Gnimsh" Filipowicz to represent the GosuGamers brand in professional Hearthstone.

It was back in January 2011 that GosuGamers decided to form our own professional teams. The formation of the StarCraft 2 roster came first, featuring ZpuX and Naugrim, who were later joined by Infernal, LastShadow, Ourk, Galaxy and IcaruS. Many of these players were in their prime at the time and were known in the scene as fierce competitors.

In the wake of these events, the GosuGamers Dota team also came to life. Boasting the talents of Azen, Pajkatt, Kuroky, Mirakel and Puppey, team GGNET was largely considered as the best European team at the time. They held the #1 poisition in the GosuRankings for six months straight and had high hopes coming into The International 1.

Unfortunately, in December of the same year, we decided to stop all team efforts and focus solely on eSports coverage, but we never fully abandoned the idea of having a competitive family of our own once again. In the Spring of 2014, this dream now becomes reality (again).

With this, like, totally legit transfer, we're happy to announce that two of the most prolific Hearthstone players - Marcin "Gnimsh" Flipowicz and Janne "Savjz" Mikkonen - have decided to sign with GosuGamers and form a small but powerful roster. Gnimsh and Savjz are known as two of the best constructed players in the world, having appeared in major televized tournaments like SeatStory Cup, Fight Night and IEM Katowice.

Between them, they hold the silver medal from SeatStory and the golds from IEM and Angry Chicken Invitational. They can often be seen topping the legend ladders, creating educational content and being the teachers of today's Hearthstone. They are deckbuilding masters and metagame trendsetters and everyone familiar with Hearthstone at least a little knows their names, although they get mispronounced sometimes...

We're more than happy to welcome them to the GG.net family!

Janne "Savjz" Mikkonen:

“Every since I was young, I have always known there is a gosu gamer inside of me. I've had it with all the doge meme stuff, and it's not funny anymore. Good luck trying to make fun of someone who is gosu.”

Marcin "Gnimsh" Filipowicz:

“I always look at the sky even if the sun hurts my eyes. It's time for changes and even though it hurts I'm leaving Doge House behind. I tend to say "gg" very often and I like internet, so GGnet seemed like an obvious choice.”

What's on the agenda for the team? First order of business will be to find two more players so we have an eligible Fight Night roster (we wanted Ek0p but he was busy, maybe we'll try again tomorrow). Second is attending and winning all GosuCup tournaments so tournament's budget can stay in the family while team captain and GosuCup admin Radoslav "Nydra" Kolev promises there will be no bracket rigging whatsoever. Third will be using our players' influence and popularity to get early access into Blizzard Outcasts, Herald of the Stars and Hearth of the Storm.

Additional steps will be taken until world domination is secured.
