Former Warcraft 3 legend Lucifer had no fun in his opening match in front of the world, as the Korean got rushed down by the Finnish Murloc Invasion orchestrated by Warleader Savjz.
Follow every second of SeatStoryCup with our coverage hubGoing into the tournament, a couple of story lines stood out for the Hearthstone fans with the feud of ek0p and Trump continuing, the BlizzCon Champion Artosis going for another major single title and obviously the surprise factor of legendary Warcraft 3 player Lucifer bringing Korean Hearthstone to the NA/EU audience. Unfortunately for the old Undead star, his debut match was crushed by Savjz bringing his Murlocs to the welcoming party and ruining the moment with a clean 4-0 sweep.
There was really not much to say about it other than Savjz absolutely dominating the Korean. The Murlocs had to go up against Druid, Shaman, Warrior and Paladin to get to the victory, but the sheer mass of them overwhelmed every single game. Sometimes it was just the [card]Murloc Warleader[/card] that boosted the strength of the already gathered army, sometimes it was [card]Knife Juggler[/card] giving Savjz good RNG and sometimes it was the battlecry of [card]Leeroy Jenkins[/card] that signaled for the game to come to an end. No matter what it was, only the contest against the Warrior in Game 3 was even remotely close, because of the great opening draws of Lucifer getting his two [card]Fiery War Axe[/card]s right away. Still, life was lost, the deck of Savjz grew and right as Lucifer felt more comfortable and save enough to play [card]Ysera[/card], Savjz finished the deal with his Murlocs and [card]Arcane Golem[/card] + [card]Leeroy Jenkins[/card] coming from the hand.
With this, Savjz moves on to the Upper Bracket Semis and will face the winner of Monk against StrifeCro. Lucifer will get to deal with the loser of that battle in an elimination match. Either the Korean or one of the two LiquidValue members will end the day being eliminated from the tournament already - who's it going to be?
