Both players opted for a multi-color Three Wishes deck, but the similarities stop there. Due to the tournaments wild format, any deck could be brought and switched out after each game. That means these decks had to be resilient enough to face anything– even specific tech cards.
Luuu90’s Decks: Three wishesBoth Luuu90 and Nightingale placed this deck and the cards are nearly identical. Nightingale in the post tournament interview commented on his love for this deck, as it is both fun to play and highly competitive.
Take note of Death Walker’s and the insane value they get with wind solider, deathwish ghoul, Lore Thief, and even the left over body of Aurora, Myth Maker. Ground shaker is somewhat anti-synergy if you aren’t careful, so don’t expect an easy win with this deck– it takes some finesse
Yellow RushWhat is there to say about Yellow rush? Air elementals keep the deck from losing land tempo and the soul drain + last nightmare removal suite allows Dune Drakes and Windborne Champions to rule the skys and win the race. It’s a smart move to bring a rush deck to a tournament and Yellow hardly ever a bad choice.
Green Feed the ForestSyland Horsemaster was a recently buffed card that has a perfect place in big green decks. Creatures Verduran Force and Grove Guardian have powerful stats but are slow and don’t have much utility. Thanks to Syland Horsemaster, the midrange green deck an boast some surprising burst damage thanks to Charge 3 enabling your big threats. Ruunin’s Shrine is a big card that seems perfect as a 1-of in this style of strategy.
Nightingale’s Decks: Three wishesNothing to see here– just the same three wishes deck. You can note that Nightingale prefers running 3 copies of groundshaker as apposed to an Mirror Phantasm. I’m not sure which I like better, but I’m leaning towards the Phantasm.
Angry red feat. Outcast TowerKobold Warbeast, Steamforge Enforcer, Axe Grinder and King’s Faithful are all good enough cards that get a lot scarier once they start activating Hate Seed and Shedim Pest and Firebringer. This deck aims to out trade and push for face damage through an overwhelming tempo strategy thanks to Outcast Tower.
An early outcast Tower allows the Angry red player to ignore Faeria wells and focus on getting a mountain near the opponents god orb. Once that happens, the stream of Angry creatures that eventually unleash a wave of Hate seeds is usually enough to end the game.
Green Blue Apex PredatorAhh, Apex Predator. You love being played after a Gabrian Enchanted Sturdy Shell and this deck allows you to do just that. Feed the forest is a natural synergy with Living Willow and Sturdy Shell’s but the true lynchpin of this deck is the timely Apex Predator.
Special nod goes out to Flower Silk Faerie which is surprisingly effective in this deck. Charge 2 is really good if you manage to cast Gabrian enchantment on an activated Faerie.
