The game will be available for pre-order on 5 June.
Good news to all trainers! The newest Pokémon game, Pokémon Legends: Z-A finally has a release date, and trainers can start preordering soon. The announcement was made in a press release published on the official Pokémon website and X account on Wednesday evening (28 May):
In the X post, the cover art was also revealed, showing the main characters and their partner Pokémon in an encounter against a Mega-Evolved Pokémon at night in Lumiose City.
According to the announcement, the Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be coming out on 16 October, 2025. However, fans can pre-order as early as 5 June on the Nintendo eShop. Upgrade packs for the Nintendo Switch 2 are also available for those who purchased the digital or physical edition of the game. These upgrade packs will be available on the Nintendo eShop and the My Nintendo Store.
On top of that, starting next month, Trainers who preorder Pokémon Legends: Z-A from Pokémon Centre in the U.S., Canada, or the U.K. will receive a free random Pokémon Sitting Cuties plush featuring Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile (while supplies last).
While waiting for the game’s release, Mega Evolution-themed merchandise will also be sold at Pokémon Centres. These include apparel, accessories, plush toys, and more.
Pokemon Legends Z-A was first announced at Pokémon Presents on February 2024. Since then, two trailers have been released, with the first one showing the game’s open-world environment. Then in March, a new trailer also revealed the Z-A Royale and the day and night mechanics.
