With The International 3 closing in, this month offered nothing but more matches for us to analyze and thus, we took the liberty of looking deeper into the drafts teams made during the RedBull ECL LAN Finals. Visage, Alchemist and Gyrocopter are the most desired heroes of the tournament, just slightly ahead of heroes such as Rubick, Nyx Assassin and Dragon Knight.

    Most banned and most contested

 
Batrider once again takes the cake for being the most hated hero in the competitive scene mostly due to its versatility and 1v1 combat ability. Batrider was only picked in three games throughout the tournament, teams sure went out of their way to ban the hero whenever they were not picking first or had some ways to try to counter him.

Alchemist, Visage and Batrider were the only three heroes who have seen some sort of action during the drafting phase, either being picked or banned out of the game. This is followed by Dark Seer,currently the second most popular banned/picked hero according to our post-6.78 patch analysis last week, who was MIA in two games.

Outworld Devourer is also quite the popular hero in RedBull ECL, being banned 30 times and picked 12 times throught the five days affair in Beijing, China. This is mostly due to teams like NeoES.Orange and RisingStars, two deep runners of the RedBull ECL, who love running the hero on the middle lane.

Bounty Hunter is the undisputed winning pick of the RedBull ECL, cashing in 11 wins in 13 games with an average GPM of 359. Coming in at second place is Dragon Knight and out of the 21 games where he was picked, he has tanked and carried his team to victory in 15 of them scoring a 71% win rate in RedBull ECL.

Believe it or not, Queen of Pain wasn't so painful in Beijing. She had the lowest win rate in the tournament (more than 10 games played), winning only 27.3% of her games. Many reason can be said about why Queen of Pain did not do well in the tournament but most of them can be attributed to the rise of the Outworld Devourer which is just a pain for any intelligence hero to deal with.
