With the end of The International 9, the traditional post TI shuffle period has begun.

OG has barely gotten a wink of sleep and the ink has not yet dried in the history books marking OG as the first two-time (and back-to-back no less) TI champions and teams are already on the move.

Last season Valve had announced that there would be no 'hard roster' locks. We saw an astounding 50+ roster changes in the DPC 2018-2019 season. So far there has been no information of what to expect going forward for the upcoming DPC 2019-2020 season, but teams and playings are starting to look at their options before the qualifiers and in time for the first event scheduled to take place in early November, with the 5th being the first Minor and the 16th being the first Major.

Here you can find all the confirmed changes for the upcoming season and ignore the trolls, rumors, and anxiety.

September 4th -   Keen Gaming

Keen Gaming was the last team to receive enough points for a direct invite to The International 9. They barely squeaked by, waiting with bated breath from the sidelines during EPICENTER Major to see if they had secured their slot.

Once at the big event, the team stumbled in the group stage, barely getting into the main event and then fell in the brutal best-of-one Round 1 of the lower brackets to the SA wonders, Infamous.

Looking for something to shake things up, the team has now recruited none other than Malaysian veteran Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung, who was at TI coaching Mineski.

Translated (by Google) it says:

"[KG e-sports club DOTA2 team member joining announcement] Did the water friends sleep? To announce a good news for everyone - after friendly negotiations between the two sides, Malaysian famous player Mushi @Mushiyf will join the KG e-sports club DOTA2 team as a free agent, serving as the 5th position! As a veteran DOTA veteran for many years, we believe that Mushi's participation will bring new changes to the KG team's new season! KeenGaming #DOTA2#"

The SEA now has revamped their roster with new hopes for a stronger start in the upcoming season.

Current Fnatic Roster:

 Nuengnara ‘23savage’ Teeramahanon

September 1st - Team Aster

Team Aster was formed after TI8, they took some of the most notable players from various teams for a shot at something more the season. Although they started off with a bang, the team struggled to produce notable achievements once at the events themselves and began to make several roster changes throughout the season. They never did seem to find the right fit and eventually fell off the radar.

Now they have recruited one of TI7's hottest Chinese talents, Song 'Sccc' Chun, and will be looking to make a bigger splash for the upcoming season.

Current Team Aster roster:

 Liu "Kamma" Chang (trial)
 Song "Sccc" Chun

August 30th -   Chaos E.C

Two months ago the unexpected news of Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen parting ways with Team Liquid consumed the Dota 2 scene. The team had already qualified for TI9 and would be able to retain their spot, while the Finnish player would be potentially sitting on the sidelines.

It didn't take long before Matu joined up with Chaos E.C to play the TI9 qualifies in Europe and managed to secure a spot at The International. Unfortunately, Chaos was the first team knocked out during the group stage and didn't even get to step foot on the main stage.

Now, it seems that after all has calmed down, Matu will be taking a break for the first round of qualifiers.

Just a few days ago Maurice 'KheZu' Gutmann had begun his search for a new team and Milan 'MiLAN' Kozomara's twitter profile indicates he is looking for a team -although he has not made any official announcement as such yet.

Chaos has yet to release any official information regarding their plans for the new season.

Current Chaos Esports Club roster:

 Cheng "vtFaded" Jia Hao
 Rasmus 'MISERY' Filipsen

August 30th -  EE stack

Jacky 'EternaLEnVy' Mao stirred the community into a frenzy last season after he joined Team Team at the last minute and then replaced Nico 'Gunnar' Lopez and Jason 'Newsham' Newsham after the team qualified for the Major, before the event took place. It wasn't long after that EE himself was replaced and ended up with no team for the TI9 qualifiers.

Jingju 'Sneyking' Wu is the only player that was at TI9, playing under the  Newbee flag, who had picked up the NA team Forward Gaming when they dropped by the organization due to financial reasons. By joining this stack, it is also clear that the Newbee NA roster will be undergoing changes.

 Jacky 'EternaLEnVy' Mao
Jonathan Bryle "bryle" Santos De Guia
 David 'Moonmeander' Tan
 Jingju 'Sneyking' Wu
 Kurtis "Aui_2000" Ling

August 29th -  Infamous

Infamous signed Team Anvorgesa on July 1, 2019 just in time for the team to clinch their spot at TI9 to represent the SA region.  The SA team made waves and history at the main event, taking a top 8 position in the final results, the best of any team from the region at The Internationals.

Much to fan's delight, the team will be sticking together for the new season, but will be competing under a new banner, yet to be determined.

Ex- Infamous Roster:
 Hector Antonio 'K1' Rodriguez
 Jean Pierre 'Chris Brown' Gonzales
 Adrian Cespedes 'Wisper' Dobles
Elvis De la Cruz 'Scofield' Peña
 Steven 'Stinger' Vargas

August 28th -  TNC Predator

Carlo 'Kuku' Palad has announced today via Twitter that he is now looking for a team. He recently placed 9-12th at The International 9 with his team TNC Predator. Kuku's season was filled with drama after he made a racist remark during a public game and was then banned from the Chongqing major along with Andrei 'Skem' Gabriel Ong. However, this did not impact his ability to go to Shanghai and play at The International.

Current TNC Predator roster:

 Kim 'Gabbi' Villafuerte
 Armel Paul 'Armel' Tabios
 Timothy  'Tims' Randrup
 Nico 'eyyou' Barcelon

August 28th -   Fnatic

Fnatic had secured an invite to The International 9, but after their elimination at EPICENTER and before the event was over, Pyo ‘MP’ Noa was released from his active status on the team while Anucha 'Jabz' Jirawong assumed his position and coach Kim ‘DuBu’ Duyoung moved into the support role.

The change didn't seem to help much as Fnatic went on to take a very disappointing 13-16th place finish, being knocked out in the first round of the lower brackets.

Changes are already starting for the SEA team and Dubu is on the prowl for a new team.

Fnatic has yet to release any official information, but if the rumors are to be believed, the organization will be fielding a full new roster for the upcoming season. So far, no other members have revealed their departure.

Current Fnatic Roster:

 Anucha 'Jabz' Jirawong
 Abed 'Abed' Yusop
 Daryl Koh 'iceiceice' Pei Xiang
 Djardel 'DJ' Mampusti

August 27th -   Chaos E.C

Although Chaos had participated in four majors of the DPC 2018-2019 season representing South America, the team made a region and several roster changes, finishing up the season in Europe, picking up Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen and promising SEA player Cheng "vtFaded" Jia Hao in the witching hours before the TI9 qualifiers.

The team clinched the only spot allocated to the region but were the first team eliminated from The International 9, taking a very disappointing last-place finish in the groups and failing to advance to the main stage.

Many have speculated the team would not remain in tact for the upcoming season and Maurice 'KheZu' Gutmann is the first to make a move.

So far no other team members have made any announcement.

There has been no word from the organization and considering they are NA based and previously fielded teams in South America and then Europe, there is no telling what region or group of players might be competing under the Chaos banner for the new season.

Current Chaos Esports Club roster:

 Cheng "vtFaded" Jia Hao
 Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen
 Rasmus 'MISERY' Filipsen
 Maurice 'KheZu' Gutmann
Milan 'MiLAN' Kozomara

August 27th -  Vici Gaming

Last September, ViCi Gaming roster had pieced together parts of the original lineup with pieces of VGJ.Thunder and a newer player as the last ingredient. The team went on to have a spectacular season, competing in multiple DPC events, but most specifically, making history as the first team to go from Minor to Major champions when they took the title at DreamLeague Season 11 Major following their victory at StarLadder ImbaTV Minor. The team went on take 5-6th place at The International 9.

Now it seems Pan 'Fade' Yi has parted ways with the team based on his weibo post, retiring from competitive play.

Rumors are circulating that there is a lot of drama and chaos going on within the Chinese Dota 2 scene and his decision is based partly on the shuffles and changes. As of now, this is the first and only change to the ViCi Gaming lineup.

Current ViCi Gaming Roster:

 Zhang 'Paparazi' Chengjun
 Zeng 'Ori' Jiaoyang
 Zhou 'Yang' Haiyang
 Ding 'Dy' Cong

August 26th -  compLexity Gaming

The North American squad had a rocky year with multiple issues ranging from visas to roster stability. The team's last appearance in the DPC was at MDL DisneyLand Major where they took a disappointing 9-12th place. They ended the season with only 153 points and then failed to qualify for TI9, placing 6th in the regional qualifier.

The organization now bids farewell to their entire roster without fully committing to even having a team for the upcoming season.

Last compLexity Gaming roster:

  Galvin "Meracle" Kang Jian Wen
 Linus "Limmp" Blomdin
 Otávio 'tavo' Gabriel
 Zakari "Zfreek" Freedman
 Adam "Adam" Shah

August 26th -  Mineski

Mineski had a better than expected run at TI9 taking another 9-12th place finish just like last year. The SEA team made some last-minute roster changes, bringing on board Nikolay "Nikobaby" Nikolov to replace Lai 'Ahjit' Jay Son in the hours before the qualifiers.

It seems the Bulgarian player, Michael 'Ninjaboogie' Ross and Ryan 'Bimbo/Raging Potato' Jay Qui are already looking for another team, and it is unknown what other changes will come to the SEA team in the following days.

Mineski Roster:
 Kam 'NaNa/Moon' Boon Seng
 Damien 'kpii' Chok
