 Times, Schedule, and viewing information

One of the most exciting parts about the new HGC is the incentive that new teams have to compete. It doesn't matter if you don't have a sponsor, or if nobody knows your name; if you qualify for the HGC you are officially a paid, professional team.

This means amongst the 54 (or more) teams competing this weekend, there are going to be a lot of mystery teams. Teams that have no recorded tournament history and, because of this, are completely wildcards. However, some of EU's old guard have come out of hiding and returned to throw their hat back in the ring.

These are the teams to look out for this weekend:

  • Misfits - The obvious favorites going into the qualifiers. They are arguably one of the best teams in EU thanks to their individual mechanical skills. Look for darkmok to draft a Melee Assassin and make the rest of the competition look like bronze players.

  • Team Liquid - Iconic organization that's Heroes division has fallen from grace. SportBilly and GerdamHerd look to make a comeback and rejoin the ranks of EU competition.

  • Puszek Team - An EU wildcard that has a history of surprising upsets. Also knows as "The Nova Team" due to their affinity for the hero and their success using her in competitive environments.

  • The Jabronis and Two Bees Determined - These two teams represent the new EU hopefuls that have been competing, training, and waiting for this opportunity. They have had mixed tournament success, but are in no way newbies trying this out for fun.

  • Excelente Election - An underdog that has experience playing against some of the top teams in EU. GranPkt, Zarmony, and bkbgrnrjefek are seasoned players, which immediately gives them an edge over most teams competing.

  • Damascuz bois -  This Dark Horse team is a mystery. Untested yet filled with veteran Heroes competitors. AlexTheProG returns with a new team consiting of Gnappe, Crozzby, Ethernal and Remmberballer
