EG have been selected to be the second team invited to EPICENTER: Moscow 2017 battling it out for a half a million dollars prize pool

Following a decent performance at the Kiev Major 2017, EG have been rewarded with the second invite to EPICENTER: Moscow 2017. EG are a team with a strong legacy in Dota2, where they have crushed competition in The International 2015 and won first place. They continued to rank highly in the following years, most notably winning China Top, Mars Dota 2 Leagues of 2016 and scoring third in the International of 2016.

Last year at EPICENTER: Moscow 2016, EG suffered what fans would describe to be a disappointing run, where they placed 2nd in the group stage behinf Newbee, and got stomped 2-0 by both Team Liquid in the upper bracket and Team Complexity in the lower bracket. EG ended up reaching 5th to 8th place in the tournament after being predicted to be one of the finalists.

That being said, EG are sure to be fierce contenders for the grand prize this year nonetheless. EG usually never let their recent slumps phase them in the next tournaments, they come up every time with new strategies and ideas forcing other teams to take notice and further improve their gameplay.
