The regional qualifiers for the Boston Major commenced today with the South East Asian, European and Americas group stage. While the US competition had just started, SEA and Europe concluded.

In the South East Asian group stage, Daryl Koh 'iceiceice' Pei Xiang’s team, Faceless had an amazing day one, winning all five of their best-of-one match-ups, and topping the group with the maximum 15 points accumulated. Fnatic sits right behind them with 12 points due to their one blemish, a loss against Warriors Gaming Unity.

With only the top four from each group will advance further to the regional qualifiers playoffs, at the SEA group stage the front runners have already secured a decent lead. Faceless, Fnatic, WG.Unity and Mineski are top four after the first day of hostilities. From these four, Fnatic and Faceless are the most likely to reach the playoffs, with both having only three matches left to play on  day two.

Currently in the fifth position with three games played and only one win, TnC can still contest fourth place as they have the most games left to play on day two.

In the European group things are far from settled after the the day one matches. The only ones to have a perfect run and a secure playoffs spot are Team Secret with maximum 12 points in the bag after four matches. Also sitting on twelve are the Greeks from Ad Finem, however they've played the most matches today with four wins and two losses so far.

Team Liquid sits in third place with only three matches played, all victories, and a total of nine points after the first day. From the fourth to seventh position the battle is open as all the teams are very close or tied in points and games played. Unfortunately for Na’Vi fans, the Ukrainian team is not doing well at all, and with four losses sit at the bottom of the group. However, Na’Vi still has five games to play on the second day and can make a comeback.

The Chinese regional qualifiers will commence on the 28th of October at 04:00 CEST.
