Upper bracket playoffs at the first DotA 2 Major for Team Secret

With two victories secured, Team Secret is the first team to grab an upper bracket seed in the second day of Frankfurt Major group stage.
The day started with Secret not stomping as hard as people would have thought versus Newbee.Young, in fact the best-of-three series ending with a close 2-1 final score in favor of Puppey’s squad.
The next match up for Secret was versus LGD who was also coming into this game with one victory in their pocket. At stake for this series was the guaranteed spot in the upper bracket playoffs at the Festhalle Messe, Frankfurt, Germany.
The first game of the LGD Gaming vs Team Secret series started with the Westerners going for a draft with heavy control and a lot of initiation options, with w33 on Windranger, Misery on Slardar and Envy as Ember Spirit while the two supports were the ones delivering huge ultimates to overpower the opponents in teamfights. LGD on the other hand, had only Clockwerk to start the hostilities and Tusk who ended to be more of a good disengage tool for his team.
Despite having a fairly good advantage even from the laning phase, Secret was not able to completely shut down LGD during the mid - game stage and the match ended up with a weird late game itemization choice coming from LGD. Failing many times to avoid the Windranger/Ember Spirit initiation, LGD decided to build two Abyssal Blades on their ranged carries, Shadow Fiend and Gyrocopter. But w33’s Shackleshots were still finding the perfect angles while the main escape mechanism for Secret was beautifully chained Force Staffs usage from pieliedie, Puppy and Misery.
It was a 65 minutes long game with continuous lurking in the fog of war but in the end Secret had the better execution and the damage advantage which put LGD on the wrong foot multiple times until the Chinese were left without buybacks and the base exposed on two lanes.
For the next game of the series LGD tried to get covered in the initiation/ teamfight control department with a Chaos Knight-Io combo and an offlane Batrider for rOtk but Secret went with a full push oriented draft that included Queen of Pain, Shadow Shaman and a last pick signature Chen for the captain Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov.
Secret’s plan was obvious and LGD didn’t have any proper answer and got bullied into an odd position where they got wiped out only six minutes into the game due to a five man tier one dive from TS who pretty much power leveled their two supports.
Five minutes later LGD were left with no tier one towers and were forced to play an extremely defensive game. Realizing they have no comeback mechanics nor the time and space to farm any of their cores, LGD raised the white flag at the 20 minute mark, right after w33 was getting the first Majors Rampage.
