
Hardly have the post-TI reshuffles ended, as Dreamz Media together with G2A, Twitch, HyperX and Egamingbets proudly presents the new season of Dota 2 Champions League! In the sixth season epic battles of recently minted squads await, as well as the new improved league format!
Starting from tomorrow and for several weeks straight, 16 European teams will fight for the champions title, amongst which are not only well-known teams such as Na'vi and Team Empire, but also lesser known teams such as No Logic Gaming and Golden Boys.
The English broadcast will be brought to you by joinDOTA studio, and Storm Studio will be working for the Russian-speaking viewers. Also, there will be official broadcasts available in Swedish, German, Spanish and other languages.
Here is the format of Season 6:
16 teams from European region
Group stage: 16 invited teams divided into 4 groups with 4 teams in each group. The system used will be GSL, meaning that matches of this stage are played in Best-of-3 format. Top 2 teams of each group, advances to the online playoffs.
Online playoffs: Single Elimination Best-of-3. Grand Final and 3rd place Decider are played in Best-of-5 format.
Prize pool: $50,000

As always, there is a ticket in Dota 2 store, which lets you watch the games from game client, which you can buy here. Unfortunately, for some reason there are no money going to the prize pool from ticket sales, but we are currently investigating this issue.
