The two day Steelseries Cup came to an end yesterday with Poseidon taking a 2-1 win over Mousesports. This is Poseidon's first tournament win since their formation two months ago.

In the first game of the grand final, Mousesports chose a combination of Elder Titan, Drow Ranger and Witch Doctor, hoping the aura-stack is able to lead them to a fast victory. Poseidon was able to repel Mouz's advances with Treant Protector and Abaddon to take game one. Mousesports staged a comeback in game two with Sylvester 'Link' Hoelgaard on the Shadow Fiend and his brother, Marcus Hoelgaard on the Batrider.

However, the deciding game was disappointingly one-sided. The high healing potential of Abaddon and Enchantress enabled the Russians to get an early game lead while Mousesports found no way to halt Poseidon's push. By mid-game, all of Mouz's outer towers were gone and Poseidon just did not look back.

Although they weren't officially announced, Steelseries Euro Cup S2 is also the grand debut of QPad Red Pandas' new roster. The new roster consists  of Niklas 'Wagamama' Högström, Jesse 'jerax' Vainikka and three others from the late GamersLeague. Their round one exit in the tournament is attributed to Finnish team Menace.

As the winner of the Steelseries Euro Cup S2, Poseidon walked away with $800 while Mousesports brought home $200 for their effort.
