It was a tough way for the teams to reach the Prime defending league final. There was from the beginning sixteen top teams like Mousesports, Kingsurf and Serious Gaming standing in their way. Fourteen of these teams fell along by the roadside, trying to reach the final to win the glory and 2000 US dollars in prize money.

PDL is a very special league, probably the one with the highest skill. Only sixteen teams are allowed to play there. The teams have eleven Playdays to prove themselves worthy for the playoffs for the grand final.

The two teams who met each other this time were SK-gaming and the top team MeetYourMakers. It may be surprising for you to hear SK reaching the very final but the league was actually finished a long time ago, before SK's losing streak began. The PDL final was meant to be played about a month ago but MYM took the decision to postpone, which is why there has been such a delay on these matches.

As SK-gaming reached the final through the loser bracket, they got the penalty with one automatic loss against MYM. The game was played in bo5 so MYM didnt have such a big advantage.

ESNation provided a stream and shoutcasts from two big names in the Esports community (although not from the dota scene), which makes one wonder why they chose exactly those two as "experts". The two shoutcasters were Louise Aurora Thomsen, a retired top CS.female player and the mymym and ESNation content manager Philip Phil Rasmussen. These two enjoyed telling us in detail about general dota and about the different items the heroes went for.

The first game was actually even up to a point, SK hadnt made any major mistakes in their picks and were keeping up with MYM. In late game though, MYM won some important battles and soon after, SK forfeited, now with two losses. But they still had one last chance. If they played their cards right, they might be able to win the second game and make the stats 2-1. But things didn't go their way, they chose a hero line-up which looked promising but ended up failing miserably. Mouz|Levent claims it was a "bad copied strat" from Mouz.dota. The heroes SK chose were totally slaughtered by MYM's lineup and gameplay so the Swedish boys decided to ff after ~40 minutes; when MYM almost had twice as many kills as them.
MYM says they took the game seriously, whether because of the money or the high profile of their opponents, we don't know. But we do know that MYM are definitely going a long way to regaining their previous glory.
