DotA here, DotA there, DotA DotA everywhere! Dota is a WarCraft Custom Map that's constantly reqruiting new followers. Two new leagues is about to start going under the names WCL DOTA and TFL: Dota league.
Some people find it rather unsuitable for a WarCraft 3 Custom Map to grow so big that there are lots of pricemoney and lots of events for it, some people don't. Nevertheless two new leagues for the custom map DotA is on the brink of seeing there first days.
WCLeague.net, which've had a regular Warcraft league since before, is now opening a DotA section as well. This league is however only open for North and South American teams since "the scheduling is a bitch" otherwise. Applications for participation is open until March 3rd, so you better be quick of you're interested and still haven't showed your interest. Here is some basic facts about the league:
Our DOTA division will only be for North and Sourth american clans! Mainly for the reason that scheduling could be a bitch otherwise. Our rules will be based on CAL-DOTA so if you are familiar with CAL or if you have participated in CAL DOTA Division then you probably will know most of the rules and the format we will be using.
As well as WCLeague.net, The Frozen League also have their regular WarCraft league (we reported about Season 5) but have also decided to open a DotA section. Unlike WCLeague.net, though, TFL will invite ten teams all over the world and build a league around this. No applications is to be sent in for the moment, and we're just waiting for the participation list. Here is some general facts about this league:
With the begining of The Frozen League Season 5 we have something special to anounce. We are going to open up a Dota League, which should start shortly if things go as planed. Ten teams will be invited to participate in our Dota League. Many things are still being considered, but for now our Dota forums are up and you are welcome to have any dota related discusions and thoughts there.
