Luminosity advances into IEM Katowice finals by taking out Natus Vincere

The first semi final of the day saw Luminosity Gaming work hard against Natus Vincere to decide who will face either Astralis or fnatic in the grand finals.
This was promising to be an interesting matchup as it has been occuring several times in the recent past and has almost become as popular and wanted as fnatic/NiP. However, one team was elected to be the favorite here, as Na'Vi had struggled in their previous matchup whereas LG had a crushing run in the group stages prior to that.
On Overpass, the two teams should meet and fight out the same match that Tempo Storm had been fighting earlier against the CIS squad. The pistol round went in the favor of LG as the initial push by Na'Vi got stuck and obliterated, as well as the following rounds. The first gun round was opened for the terrorists as Gabriel "Fallen" Toledo got burnt alive and made the bombsite free for the CIS team to take. But LG bought right back and even managed to get an AWP, which made decent impact and eventually got the bomb site take delayed until the execution could not work out anymore. As the first half went on the Brazilians managed to get a total of 8 rounds, but soon after that found Na'Vi reaching double digits as the CIS squad took over the second pistol round and the following rounds as well. Close to giving in at 13-9, Luminosity attempted a relatively weak force-buy, but in a tense 2v4 managed to set themselves on top, Natus Vincere now being the team obliged to force it up. Luminosity clawed back to 12-13, until Na'Vi brought LG down to just Fallen. He almost made the ACE clutch, taking out two Na'Vi players and winning the round by bomb explosion. Natus Vincere were down to another force buy that came close enough to make them buy the next round again, but eventually LG made it 15-13. The next rounds were heart-wrenching to watch, as the Brazilians were forced to undergo overtime.
The first round went into the favor of Na'Vi, but Fallen brought it back once again with a 1v2 clutch despite two entries given to flamie's autosniper. Natus Vincere had some crazy boosts that enabled them to get to 17-17, but Luminosity closely answered with another round. In a 1v1, the CIS team secured double overtime.
Once again, in such a close fashion, Na'Vi gave the first round away to bring LG onto 19 points and the subsequent one was accquired as well as Fallen managed to get yet another entry frag. Unfortunately for them there was no chance to get the last round of that half, which meant that Na'Vi got onto at least 19-20. In the second half of the second overtime, LG then made two straight rounds happen, making the map their own and delivering already pretty certainly a top five match of the year.
Inferno started off with Natus Vincere getting a three round lead as CTs. The first gun round however went in the favor of LG, as well as the following 3 rounds. This was due to a brillant arch split that wrapped up the CTs and left them unable to survive, but then they got stopped cold hard by a monstrous GuardiaN, who helped to get the next round as well, bringing it to 5-4. Luminosity then clawed back the next two rounds though being 10hp away from being obliterated by flamie, eventually getting the 6-5 lead though. Another two rounds then went in their favor until Na'Vi intercepted, a MAG-7 doing the two necessary entry-frags to secure the sixth round for them on the board. As Lincoln "fnx" Lau rattled off a 4k, the last kill with 18hp, LG suddenly fought back another time. The last round of the half saw Fallen display positional awareness and he was crucial in making it a 9-6 half for the terrorist Luminosity.
Fortunately for Na'Vi, they were able to tie the score in winning the second pistol, as well as the following anti-eco-rounds. Despite getting the entry onto GuardiaN, the CIS squad once again eliminated the A defense and took over the first gun round. Then again the Luminosity force-buy brought them three kills on short and the rest of Natus Vincere died shortly after. At 11-10 for LG, Na'Vi attempted a force-buy which brought them a 4v2 advantage and a round win, but the greediness cost them three players in total. Once again FalleN made the entry on B and though having an enemy run by on B he was able to stay between the lines and have impact in the shape of a 4k, getting the 12-11 score board and the subsequent eco by Na'Vi. Once again the CIS team decided to force-buy and once again emptied the A site to get a round for themselves again. But - and this is getting redundant - once again Fallen made the entry on banana and let Natus Vincere run down the clock and read their push onto A. Being stacked in huge numbers there, there was just no chance for the CIS side to succeed, so Luminosity happily brought it to 14-12 and though making it really tense, they additionally brought in the subsequent round. Ending the map 16-12, fnx made a push into mid to get the entry and catch Natus Vincere off guard for the last time.
