With the second day of the MLG Columbus qualifiers behind us, three more teams are through to Katowice next month. The first match of the day was Tempo Storm fighting for survival against Selfless in the lower bracket. Lucky for them, Tempo had no issues knocking Selfless out of the event with a quick 16:4 victory on de_inferno. Later on, G2 knocked FlipSid3 Tactics down to join the Brazilians after narrowly winning their match on de_inferno 16:14.
Group C was up next, starting out once again with the lower bracket consolidation, this time with Counter Logic Gaming knocking out SK with a tight 16:13 win to send them home for the weekend, while CLG will have to take on Vexed who dropped to the lower bracket after taking a harsh beating from Splyce 7:16 on de_mirage.
The first best-of-three series of the qualifier was seen in Group C, where HellRaisers fell to Team Liquid 2:1 that came down to a 16:14 win by the North American squad on de_dust2, earning Liquid a spot at MLG Columbus.
Finally, in group D, Gambit continued to plow their way through some of the top talent at the event, this time defeating Renegades with a 16:11 score line on de_train. Meanwhile in the lower bracket, Gambit's victims from from yesterday, Cloud9, survived a close encounter with dignitas on de_cache, narrowly managing to win the map 16:13.
