Team EnVy cruise past Dignitas into winner's match

Another French side is in the winner's match of their respective group after Team EnVyUs beat Team Dignitas in the Group D opener.

Team EnVyUs opened up Group D with a convincing win against Team Dignitas on de_cobblestone. Starting on the CT side of this best of one match, Envy found itself in a hole after losing the first pistol and the following force buy — a round where all 10 members of both teams survived after minimal damage was dealt and Dignitas got the bomb planted. Envy would take the first gun round, though Dignitas player “aizy” had a chance to clutch the round after removing three Envy players before being taken out himself.

After losing the first three rounds of the match, Envy would go on to win the next five, only missing their chance for a sixth round in a row when, again, “aizy” stood in their way, taking down two and clutching the round against “kennyS.” Strong play from “aizy” in the 10th round secured Dignitas a tie in the match to that point, forcing Envy on a save and resetting the loss-round bonus for the French side. Again, the French side would fight back with a force buy in the 11th round and would go on to win the remaining rounds of the half, closing the first half out 10-5 over the Danes.

Envy opened up the second half with a fast push into the B bomb site, securing a quick victory. They would go on to secure the following two rounds, pulling the score to 13-5 heading into the first gun round of the second half. Solid play from “Kjaerbye” — two kills and an assist in the round — secured the 19th round for Dignitas. Unfortunately, the Danes could not keep up the solid play for the following round and would go on to lose the next three rounds, dropping the map 6-15 to the French side.
