In their pursuit of global expansion, myRevenge e.V. has claimed a foothold in Asia.

Following their recent pick up of an Australian team, as well as a spot of matchfixing controversy by one of their European teams (the organization has denied involvement in this incident), the German organization myRevenge e.V. announced yesterday that they have selected a Korean Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team to play under their banner. Even though myRevenge.KR they may not be a true "professional" team, as the Korean scene is still in its growing stages, this is definitely a significant event for the game's international presence.

In a region that is dominated by other shooters, such as Counter-Strike: Online and Cross-Fire, this is rather good for the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams in Asia, as this garners more attention to their smaller scenes. Perhaps we will see the return of Korean Counter-Strike to the global stage.

Statement from HyunPyo "X1gnwow" Lee, Team Captain:

“It was really astonishing to receive an offer from myRevenge, and this would be a great opportunity for us. I hope this brings a wave of new era to CS:GO in Asia.”
