Ex-CLG Member, James "hazed" Cobb will be trialling as a coach for OpTic Gaming, as well as standing in for the team at IEM Sydney 2017.

It was announced by Will "RUSH" Wierzba on Twitter that ex-CLG representative, James "hazed" Cobb would be trialling as a coach for the green wall. In recent times the team has been missing a fifth player after the departure of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz to Team Liquid, meaning that OpTic not only lost an outstanding individual player, but also an in-game leader. In light of these circumstances, OpTic Gaming has reached out to James "hazed" Cobb, ex-IGL and rifler for Counter Logic Gaming to trial him as a coach and stand-in at Intel Extreme Masters: Sydney 2017.

Over his career with Counter Logic Gaming, hazed has attended five major championships, unfortunately four of them saw a group stage exit, however at the MLG Major Championship: Columbus 2016, the team managed to grasp the Legends title, securing a done-deal placement at the subsequent major, ESL One: Cologne 2016. Since leaving Counter Logic Gaming, Hobb has stood-in for North American teams, namely Muffin Lightning during the Intel Extreme Masters XI: Katowice 2017 North American qualifiers and Team Liquid during the iBUYPOWER Spring Invitational 2017. In the prior match Muffin Lightning was unable to come out with a win against opponents, Misfits, and, interestingly, during the iBP Invitational Team Liquid fell at 3rd-4th place to the very same organisation Hobb will be trialling with, OpTic Gaming.
