Geek Fam owner Lim Keat Kuang admitted that international organisations are interested in collaborating with them and other teams in MPL Indonesia.

Geek Fam ID owner, Lim Keat Kuang, admitted that international organisations are interested in collaborating with his and the other teams in MPL Indonesia during the preseason press conference of MPL Indonesia Season 14. Keat said all that was because of how dynamic and interesting MPL Indonesia is as a competitive league and market.

Even though Keat admitted there was a conversation with international organisations, he didn't know how the result would be. Still, these discussions were about aligning strategic plans and interests between both parties. He stated that he couldn't say much about this because he also didn't know what was going on yet.

However, Keat believed that the arrival of international organisations to MPL Indonesia was good because it might bring new ideas to the league, and these kinds of chemistry and synergy could bring about something good for Indonesia's esports ecosystem.

He didn't know if these arrivals would make it difficult for Geek Fam in the league, but opportunities lie in difficulties, according to him, as he couldn't control what happened worldwide, but he could control how he reacted to them. He looked forward to seeing what would happen to the league with all of the organisations arriving.

For MPL Indonesia Season 14, Geek Fam brought in four new players, two of whom were promoted from the Geek Fam Junior squad. They are Vincent Frandica “Vincentt” Suwnadhi from Rebellion Esports, Mercy “Gobs” Ratuliu and Christian Demsy “Mas4Ko” Wagiu from Geek Fam Jr., and Kenley “Veldora” Zefanya, loaned from EVOS Glory. These additions were projected to fill the losses of Luke, Reyy, and Hazle, who left the team after MPL Indonesia Season 13. They also brought in Dora as their new Analyst after Wuraaah left the team to join Bigetron Alpha on loan.

Geek Fam will start their MPL Indonesia Season 14 campaign against Alter Ego Esports on  August 10, 2024. This match against Alter Ego will test their squad in the new season, as Alter Ego fielded a newly revamped squad for the tournament.
