Plantronics sponsored organization Tainted Minds announces its entry into the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitive scene.
This acquisition caps off an extremely successful year, as Tainted Minds has grown exponentially throughout 2016, and highlights a desire to exceed as an organization as the new year approaches. Tainted Minds Operations Manager Michael “Voltris” Stewart noted that the organization has been keeping an eye on the Australian scene for nearly a year as it waited for a unified sense of competitive stability within the region prior to acquiring the former Athletico roster. This acquisition highlights the organization’s desire to succeed at a global level with a core group of passionate and driven players.
The newly acquired team will make their tournament debut in Burbank, California, for the Mountain Dew ESEA Season 23 Global Challenge, where they will represent the Oceanic region as they compete for a $50,000 prize pool.
The eSports organization has acquired the former Athletico roster to compete under the Tainted Minds moniker moving forward:
