As everyone knows, the Blizzard World Wide Invitational wrapped up a couple of weeks ago. Amidst the tournaments and the developer panels visitors had the opportunity to get down and dirty with the current build of Starcraft 2, resulting in a flurry of thoughts and impressions put to paper.
Now, a couple of weeks after the event, people are beginning to post their thoughts and views on the build they had the opportunity to play. The general consensus amongst the different writers is that it IS, without a shadow of a doubt, a Starcraft game. The feel and pacing both have not been lost during the long 10 year transition from then to now. Other elements of the current build were received with skepticism by some and embraced by others. There is a lot of information contained in the following links and will take some time to read through, so it is advised to set aside a significant slice of time for these!
The previews
First off we have a monster of an article posted over at Teamliquid, where several staff members have collaborated and posted their opinions of the build they played. A very interesting read that can be found here.
Also on the Teamliquid website another monstrous article is presented, this time by a single writer. Nyovne offers us his impressions following a 17 hour playing
spree. Check it out here.
Greth over at SC2GG submitted his long and eloquent article titled "Starcraft II: The Game" a little while ago and is another great read for people hungry for more information about the game. Find it here.
Finally, on SCLegacy, a thread containing gameplay videos, tech trees, reviews of the build, zerg impressions and more. There's even some information about Diablo 3 thrown in the deal. Definitely check it out right here.
