The previous SuperFight featured Boxer's last televised matches before him entering the army. Now the showmatch series are back, and now not only the StarCraft players are in for a treat. Dutch player 4K^Grubby will go up against MYM]Moon in a classic showmatch between the two. But of course as the showmatch is in the motherland of StarCraft the event is featured on it. First we get to see a showmatch between the two "Terran rookies" Sea[Shield] (picture) and Canata in a best of five Terran versus Terran action. People generally rate the Terran versus Terran matchup as the worst but after a recent game they clashed together in an amazing game with nuke usage, all in all a very close game.
Next up is a classic. The two WarCraft 3 players Grubby and Moon (picture) are both said to be the best players in the world and they both have massive fan clubs and a great reputation. Though Moon has been slumping recently and needs to shape up. Previously Moon was the one usually winning the matches between the two but Grubby has evened out the score lately. Even if Moon won the Digital Life tournament you can not really say he is back due to the meek participant list. He will have to play at his peak of the year if he is going to win against a strong Grubby.
In an interview, Moon says that he looks forward to the event, especially because he is facing Grubby.
- I am nervous-excited that I will be playing against Grubby. I will do my best, he says and adds that the day to find out who is the best in the world has come. The most recent match against the two was in the WEG Masters where Grubby ended out on top. This is Moon's chance for revenge. The winner of the match will be given a total of $10,000 so expect both of the players to give their 100%, if not more.
Moon, ready to take on Grubby?
That is what the WarCraft gamers will have to settle for for this time though, as they move on with another great match between two giants - Terran player NaDa against the Protoss user Reach. Both players have a great history, but they were more likely picked after their names and achievements compared to their skill level right now.
A third SuperFight is in the planning as well where we will get to see female progamer Tossgirl play a male progamer who she gets to choose herself. And if that was not enough the recent Shinhan2006 OSL Season2 Champion will go up against the MBCGame MSL Champion, surely a match to look forward to. The second SuperFight is dated for 10th of November at the Kintax convention center in Korea.
