GMB vs DB
The first game of the EU LCS for week 9 kicked off with arguably the strongest team in Europe (though placed 2nd in standings) against the lowest rated team in the LCS. Their scores were set as polar opposite as one was 14-6, and the other 6-14. However, you wouldn't even begin to suspect that by watching the game.
Though Dragonborns got the early lead and a nice dragon steal by Hosan, the unity and length of experience for Gambit Gaming really paid off once again, turning poor situations into positive ones. Even though Dragonborns had acquired a fairly significant lead early on, Gambit Gaming knew how to make the calls down the road and stall things out, swinging things in their own favor and taking the win.
EG vs FNC
Evil Geniuses have been slumping while Fnatic have been enjoying the throne in the European LCS. This weekend, they've come to show that they are in an entirely different shape. Straight away, Evil Geniuses utilize their strong burst and CC level 1 and allow Froggen to start the game with first blood.
The domination didn't end there, though, and EG would go on to take an inhibitor only shortly after the 20 minute mark with over a 10 kill lead and several thousands of gold ahead. Though Fnatic attempted with all their might to hold off, they could not push away the intense pressure of the remastered Evil Geniuses.
aAa vs GBG
Another Ezreal pops out for Gambit Gaming's Genja and Diamondprox tips his toes in the water for Elise jungle with the game beginning at a slow pace. After 9 minutes, Against All Authority found their first blood, but not without Gambit being able to acquire a dragon and kill of their own.
Though the game went at the pace of a crawl, the stagnation wouldn't last forever. The teams' gold values stayed even for incredibly long with aAa actually taking a kill advantage midgame. By the time the teams were contesting baron, aAa was up in gold against the Russian powerhouses and also doubling the kills.
Though Gambit Gaming, as traditionally they would, eventually pull ahead in gold, the game crawls to a point where that is beyond mattering anymore. after the 50 minute mark, 52 kills were had with 3 barons going down and each team taking down 7 towers a piece. However, against all odds, Gambit Gaming's absurd levels of experience shine through and they take the victory.
DB vs GIA
The last game of the night certainly wastes no time to become full of action. Before the 15 minute mark occurs 10 deaths were already to be had within this game with the majority going in favor of GIANTS. Dragonborns still proceeds to be ahead in gold due to having the higher objective count, having 3 turrets to 1 despite the kill deficit.
Upset at their last loss, Dragonborns assimilates themselves and reinforces very well entering the midgame. After decisive and carefully calculated plays, Dragonborns manages to put GIANTS in a helpless position. Eventually, the lead just proved too much for GIANTS and Dragonborns pulled out a win.
