WC3L XVI starting date announced!

ESL organisation has just conveyed the starting date of the long-awaited new season of its prestigious championship, WC3L. Moreover, a slight change to the 2v2 map pool has been performed.

After revealing the groups and a few new 1v1 maps for the upcoming season last month, WC3L crew has finally set a truce to the suspense surrounding the beginning date of the league. The D-day has been set to October, the 29th 2009.

Furthermore, the 2v2 map named "Avalanche" has been replaced by "Goldshire" map in an attempt to refresh the 2v2 map pool, which leaves the overall map pool as follows:

1v1 maps:

* Echo Isles
* Turtle Rock
* Twisted Meadows
* Secret Valley
* Melting Valley
* Ancient Isle
* Plunder Isle 2.0
* Amazonia

2v2 maps:

* Gnoll Wood
* Goldshire
* Lost Temple (RoC version)
* Turtle Rock
* Twisted Meadows

The exact schedule of the league is yet to be announced.
