Four players, four matches and no protosses: this is what remains of IPL 5 after two and a half days of competition.

Two terrans and two zergs are still in the tournament, getting ready to walk the last mile. With 12-1 in maps, Leenock is looking forward to claiming yet another North American trophy after victorious in two MLGs this year. His opponent in the winners bracket final is Violet who is also in a top shape, coming in from a convincing 2-0 against Symbol and playing a stellar ZvZ as always.
The LB final will see a TvT between Polt and Bomber. StarTale's terran is posed to play his seventh match in the losers bracket and is showing unfaltering resilience, having eliminated tournament favorites Creator and DongRaeGu playing on the verge of elimination. Polt, on the other hand, is coming into the match much fresher, having played just four series in total due to his high pre-tournament seeding.
Finally, while recent premier tournaments - BWC and WCG in particular - have been kind to the protoss race, IPL 5 is mimicking its tournament partners over at the GSL. With HerO and Creator falling in LBR8, there will be no protosses in the Ro8.
