Gfinity, UK's premier LAN event with a combined prize pool of $45,000, starts out with a bang in an extraordinary group phase. In the end it all fell to the top eight teams who will be fighting for the crown.
With numereous upsets, the return of Dignitas, and the downfall of NiP, G3 did not fail to dissapoint in the action department. The final match of the group stages between Epsilon and London Conspiracy was moved to day 2 This match ended up with a heartbreaking finisher, where LC managed to take down the French with the score of 16-12. The top eight teams now advance to the playoffs, where every matchup is a best-of-three.
The playoffs begin today at 11:30 CEST with Fnatic facing off against Mousesports. All games, including the grand finals, will be best-of-threes. The winner will take home a sweet $20,000 and an ESWC invitation while 2nd, 3rd/4th and 5th/8th will receive $10,000, $5,000 and $1,250 respectively.
