In a brief interview with ESFI World, Taeja discussed current form, his play style and his goals for the future.
“I don't think I am quite famous yet,” a modest TaeJa told ESFI in a recent interview. “I hope to become more famous.” This guy is insatiable, it seems. The Assembly champion who dominated the IPL TAC just wants to win more and more. Despite his recent success, he is still hungry for more but maintains a humble attitude. “I have not won a GSL yet so it's difficult to consider myself a strong Terran,” he said.
Talking a bit about his in-game technique, he admitted that he likes to play a long macro game. “My style is going for 200/200 battle by controlling the flow of the game,” he said. Results show that it works for him and he believes that practice is the key to that success. “I don't really have a pre-game ritual to prepare mentally,” he told ESFI. “I just practice a lot and that allows for a solid play.”
It’s clear that TaeJa is a quiet, down-to-earth guy, but he is a competitor at heart. Even after his recent accomplishments he remains focused on winning and his main target is clear: “My highest goal is obviously winning GSL.” After the last few months, who would bet against him?
