It’s that time of the month again – no, the other one – time for TLPD stats to go graphical.
August was a typically busy month for Starcraft II, but the win rates were not so typical. Zerg continues to be on top of the international scene – a trend which started in March, with a brief blip in April. Protoss, on the other hand, suffered a huge fall of almost 5%. They were down by 7% in both matchups, putting non-Korean Protoss players significantly far behind the other races. Terran filled in the void after being the least successful race in previous months, with a solid 51.3% success rate.
However, it’s important to note that these statistics do not include Korean win rates. According to SC2Statistics on Twitter, they were lacking several games and decided not to publish the Korean stats yet. With Protoss performing well in both GSL and WCG it is likely that the numbers would look a little better for team Tassadar. In fact, many seem to feel that Koreans have almost the opposite situation, with the likes of Squirtle and Seed tearing up domestic tournaments.
