CLG Europe continue to have a great year, making it to their fourth grand final in 2012. This guarantees them $4,000, a sum that can go up to $7,500 if they manage to defeat the winner of Curse and Reddit Nation.

After yesterday's matches, championship Sunday for Lone Star Clash 2 began with a brand rivalry taken to international level as CLG Europe met Curse NA. Although never having met before on tournament grounds, the pick/ban phases were a no-brainer for either teams and Froggen, Wickd, Nyjacky and Voyboy were immediately denied the opportunity to enjoy their signature champions.
The first game went to the Europeans, who ran a powerful Amumu/Zyra/Malphite combo and Froggen's fearsome Lee Sin in middle, who delivered so much that he forced LS to be banned in the second game instead of Wickd's Irelia.
Said second game picked up a more equal pace and the teams were for a long time going head to head in terms of kills, but CLG.eu's farm excellence gradually made its way into the match. Voyboy's Malphite got shut down and marginally outfarmed by Wickd's Irelia but that wasn't Curse's only problem by any means. Lack of team fight communication opened doors to many a wasted opportunity, which allowed CLG.eu to snowball from there. By picking Baron after one of the many shambles, CLG.eu confidently pushed in for the 2-0.
