It was a close series, it was an exciting series, but in the end QsQ prevailed and are now on their way to DreamHack Winter 2012. It is the return for the veteran NoVa, who has build this team from scratch after he left fnatic. Now he can return the sight of his biggest success and aim for the title.
QsQ and BunkerDown played the most entertaining series in the Deathmatch format of the Destination tournament, a series that actually went beyond the initial three matches.
The team around hard carry player NoX played a marvelous first game, in which they were in total control. NoX was farming out of his mind, Style was dominating the middle lane and the rest of the team had great success with ganks.
The second game saw BunkerDown emerging as a serious contestant, as the Swedish team was playing a very strong mid game. They were able to get great farm on Valkyrie, while holding the entire QsQ squad below 300 GPM. The map control allowed them to get an uncontested Kongor kill and after a failed attempted to push the lane they still were able to take the game - and tie the series.
The third and fourth game became a testament to the great team chemistry and individual power of QsQ. In both matches NoX had GPM numbers well above 500, both matches saw great initiations, beautiful coordination of ganks and well-thought strategies from drafting, laning and maneuvering. Even a small setback and a minor collapse in the fourth game could not stop QsQ on their way to the Elmia.
NoVa has assembled a great squad and with his veteran presence he will be a huge help for the team inside and outside the game at the venue. With NoX and Style two "unknown" player have emerged as high-praised players, Jonassomfan was a known quantity after his success with Lions, but is thriving in the new lineup. In addition to that, the Finnish player Malle is showing week in and week out his presence in the jungle, as a great ganker and awesome team mate. All in all the team can make a serious run in the DreamHon tournament and maybe even follow the steps of their captain - NoVa is the only player with the chance of five consecutive DreamHack Championships.
