A total amount of 207 teams took part on the first ever Dota 2 Gosucup Asia today. That is more than 1000 players, but only a few advance into the second day.

The day started a bit rough, with more than 200 eager teams all trying to look up their match-ups. We do apologize for some server issues, which had delayed the releasing of the bracket. GosuCup Asia, that is a series of tournaments endowed with $1,000 prize money. It is open for everyone, but standard server is Singapore.

The games heated up quickly. After a toss-up Round 1 of matches, Round 2 saw the familiar names winning their respective matches. Exception to this trend however, was the exit of SVR_Es and N9 after their first match.

First four rounds today, final four rounds on Sunday

Loda was spotted playing with Bohemian Raspberry, but they unfortunately bowed out of the tournament at the third round. Einsof were also eliminated at this round, but most of the other teams we got our eyes into stood their ground.

The Round of 32 (Round 5) had teams showing their real stuff. GEST Dota 2 participating teams Flash E-Sports, Pagibig.TNC, Orange E-Sports and First Departure advanced. Vietnam's The Asia representative also looked very impressive against their win against Mafia. However, the story of this round is the big upset of Invasion against MUFC. That statement is not to undermine the amazing play of Invasion, and it is rather because of the amazing recent play from the ESWC East Qualifier Champion.

It is a plethora of South-East Asian countries. It doesn't come in surprise however, as games were played on the SG server, that there are a lot of Singaporean teams remaining. Of course, the Australian and the South Korean flag stands out as well.
