DreamHon Group A: It's decided, PIKA and QsQ 357 move on
Two groups were decided today with QsQ 357 playing their last match against QsQ 613 to catch ORGE on the finish straight. Next to that It's Gosu battled with saishii for their safe spot in the playoffs.
It is officially over. Group A was the very first that ended the group stage phase, with QsQ 357 and Pikachu moving on to the quarterfinals. Pikachu was already safe before the today, but after the 2-0 victory over QsQ 613 they secured the Group A championship for good.
QsQ 357 was still in a must-win situation with the goal to catch ORGE and prevent the Malaysians from moving on. A victory over QsQ 613 sealed that deal as that last loss of the Malaysians against Lions proved to be the backbreaker. No Asian team will be part of the playoffs as all three competing teams are eliminated from this tournament right now.
The rest of the group stage went down to forfeits with unZ claiming the victory over QsQ 112 and Lions winning over Smackdown Syndrome.
