[s]starcraft[/s]The United States Air Force used Starcraft to train the elite officers of the future. Let me quote this article:

Remember, these will be the officers who will be leading the Air Force into years 2020 and 2030 and they must strive to become, Masters of Aerospace Power. Apparently Starcraft is part of their 4-week intensive ABC course, otherwise known as the Aerospace Basic Course. Many bright new Airmen (the lowest officer rank in the US Air Force) aspiring to be officers have to go through this course.

If you're in for a laugh please read it through, it is long but just the things they say will make you scratch your head in absurd amazement.

If you do not want to read it all check out some of these quotes:

Two computers in a classroom are surrounded by six eager 22 year old U.S. Air Force second lieutenants. Two of the lieutenants are designated "mouse pilots." Each mouse pilot is clutching her respective team's mouse and her two hovering teammates are looking all over the monitor, pointing to areas on the screen, and giving her directions and advice. Two teams fight each other from different rooms.
Teamwork is essential, and every 15 minutes the student on the mouse must change places with one of his two teammates to preclude Starcraft experts from dominating the game.
It is part of their curriculum. I wish I had had this subject when I went through med school. Now that's top quality education for you!

The game is used in carefully structured learning application exercises during the four-week ABC program. But this third time in class won't be the last time many of these students play Starcraft—they are now "hooked" on wargaming! Many will drag into class on successive days, eyes drooping from late nights in the dorm playing Starcraft, only for fun this time with their classmates.
Many ABC faculty are now highly experienced Starcraft commanders.Let me translate this: The teachers are GOSU and all the students are Starcraft addicts.

And nothing is possible without Agile Combat Support: "no bucks, no Buck Rogers." Global Attack from Nuclear Silos, Information Superiority from Comsat Stations and free-ranging aircraft, and Precision Attack from Yamato Guns helps crystallize these core competencies in a Starcraft-facilitated, application-level learning experience.I can not keep quoting it lest I rip a rib in laughter. This is by no means new but every time I read it makes me laugh again. I will publish it for the sake of all the newer generation of gamers that never saw this news. If you have read it before proceed to next article.
