In recent times the 'Heroes of Newerth' competitive scene has exploded with many smaller scale tournaments that may not interest the highest tier of competitive play. Tournaments from the It's Gosu organization have had a rather large participating rate and everyone should expect to see more and more of these smaller scale tournaments in the future.
One of the more recent additions to the tournament scene is the Gamers Platoon (GP) tournament, of which features a total prize pool of $950 (USD 500 for the 1st, USD 300 2nd, USD 150 3rd). It's great to see new organizations get right behind HoN and host tournaments for the community.
