World of WarCraft: Cataclysm will finally hit China, over half a year since its North American release. The popular expansion pack will be brought to the region by the already game-operating company NetEase.
China has allegedly more than 300 million online gamers, and as NetEase witnessed the fortunes of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, bringing in Cataclysm to the Chinese market was a no-brainer.
While Wrath of the Lich King took nearly two years to get approved for release, Cataclysm has gone much smoother, reports Reuters.
The increased sales for NetEase reached as much as 47 percent in 2010 which further proves the popularity of the Blizzard's top shelf game.
NetEase and BLizzard Entertainment have scheduled the release in China to July 12, 2011.
