Two Weeks Into September Ilari Sahamies over $1.2 Million Up
Ilari ‘Ilari FIN’ Sahamies continues on his roll in September. Last week, we reported that he won the largest ever pot in PokerStars history a $421k pot. Two weeks into September and the famous Finn is up over $1.2 million.
Gaining some momentum has been elusive for Sahamies in 2010 and 2011, but even he described the current state of online games on PokerStars as "really good and wild."
The swings continue to be large with a Sahamies $200,000 downswing yesterday with fellow Finn Sami "LrsLzk" Kelopuro being one of the beneficiaries winning about $150k in profit. There is some worry that Sahamies could repeat his pattern of previous months, like in August, where he gets up really big early only to give most of it back with wilder play later in the month.
Other winners on the month include Benjamin "Ben86" Tollerene and Rafi "rafaelamit" Amit who hover around $500k in profit mid-way through the month.
On the losing end in September have been Viktor “Isildur1” Blom (-$635K) and Andreas “Skjervoy” Torbergsen (-$463K).
