One of the best protosses in Europe Johan "Naniwa" Lucchesi is the second grand finalist at the European Battle.net Invitational. He will face Ret in a revenge match for the first place and the €7,000 that go with it.

Naniwa survived the ruthless slaughter of the Losers Bracket after being dropped there by Liquid's powerhouse Ret in the Ro4 of the Winners Bracket. Naniwa defeated home-ground players Nerchio and Tarson (both with a 2-0 score) to end up playing a rival of old - TSL 3 champion Thorzain.

Although Thorzain performed brilliantly (especially in set 2, defending a devastating 6-gate push by Naniwa), he made some decision mistakes in sets one and three, that escorted Naniwa's humongous protoss ball to victory.

- "All terrans are the same to me", said Naniwa in an earlier interview and his results only speak in his favor, considering he already beat Strelok, Tarson and Thorzain.

The ace of Dignitas is now to face none other than the person that sent him to the Lower Bracket - Jos "Ret" de Kroon - in the grand finals. We are yet to see if Naniwa has what it takes to take down the talented Zerg or will suffer a second defeat in the hands of Ret's swarm.

The SC2 closing match will be starting right after the WoW 3v3 arena grand final is done, so stay tuned to the tournament!
