Blizzard has contracted beloved UI expert Ahli to create a brand new replay and observer UI for competitive HotS.

At the Blizzcon world championships, we were all impressed by the unique, easy to follow custom UI. It's no wonder it looks so professional too, as Blizzard has gotten help from Ahli to create it. Ahli is notable for creating the 'Ahli UI', the most commonly used UI for casting, observing or watching replays of competitive HotS.

The new UI looks compact, easy to read, and informative.

As you can see, the new UI looks great. For a game with as many moving parts as HotS, it is incredibly important to be able to see the nitty gritty numbers as well as talents in a simple yet elegant way. This UI delivers that in spades. If you're interested in trying it out for yourself, there are easy instructions for downloading and installing on battle.net.

Along with these instructions, Blizzard has also given us a list of hotkeys that we may find useful. Particularly interesting is the ability to hide the replay UI, a feature that was previously unavailable. This should make the lives of content creators all over easier, as the replay bar was very intrusive before.

Now if only we could get more observer slots...
