You never expect certain players to reach that far in a GSL but there they are. With regard to recent events, MyMyM sat down with a player that recently untapped his full potential - sCfOu.

When an "underdog" player is being interviewed, one of the most interesting words are his thoughts on the games he played to reach so high in a tournament. Thus, Ro4 participant sC goes back to his games against Polt and Losira.

“When Polt beat MC, I was a little scared because he seemed better than I thought but when I practiced my TvT, I won almost all my games so I got confidence from that.”

“First, I knew for sure that I was going to barely win but when I beat [Losira] 3-0, I thought people had overrated him.

Of course, his spectacular play against NesTea in the semi-finals cannot be skipped and Mr. Kim finds time to comment on this as well.

“Close to the end of the match when I won the battle in the center of the map, I thought I won there so I played very slowly, but I gave him too much time to make Infestors so I lost.

As usual, young players like the 17-year old sC have their role models and he has picked a truly accomplished fellow young terran.

“When I saw MarineKing go to the finals in GSL Open Season 2, I got inspired by him and wanted to be like him.”

sC further discusses the current balance of the game saying that "protoss is strongest, terran is average, zerg is the weakest" and that the new patch will help terran a bit with defending early protoss aggression. When asked about the Korean and foreign scene, sC readily gives his opinion on who is the bes players in his country and abroad and that he will gladly take part in foreign competitions if he is to be invited. A short comment on the play-style difference is also being dropped.

“Of course [Korean players have the upper hand] . Korean players have a different style than foreigners and the Korean playstyle is better, haha.”
