Chris Johnson won the World Series of Poker Circuit main event at Caesars Palace for $153,599. The $1,600 buy-in WSOPC- Caesars Palace tournament drew a healthy field of 496 players with many notable pros, but none of them made the final table except "Hollywood" Dave Stann who is better known for his blackjack acumen than poker triumphs.
Chris Johns steamrolled the final table, which completed play in a record 2 hours and 40 minutes. In addition to the prize money he received a ticket to the upcoming National Championship also held at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas on May 27th.
The prize pool generated was $715,000 that was paid out to the top 54 finishers. Notables to place in the money included Jimmy Fricke (44th), Erica Schoenberg (38th), David Williams (22nd) and J.J. Liu (12th).
