The first two of three scheduled Day Ones of the Aussie Millions AUD$10,000 buy-in main event are complete. A number of prominent players are off to quick starts and will head to Day 2 with nice chips stacks on Tuesday.

Day 1a saw 238 players and many big names doing well. Erick Lindgren finished in the lead with 186,000 with Patrik Antonius in third (176,500) and Phil Ivey in sixth (134,200). Perennial BLUFF Online Player of the Year contender Chris Moorman also cracked the top ten with 116,900 chips. Erik Cajelais rounded out the top Full Tilt domination of the leaderboard with 108,700 chips, good enough for eighth overall. A number of big names didn’t make it through their opening day including Tom Dwan, Justin “BoostedJ Smith, Maria Ho, Eli Elezra, Tony Dunst and Terrence Chan.

Day 2a saw 208 players start off the day, with only 79 surviving. Jeff Rossiter finished on top with 154,900. Other notable stacks after play Monday include Jeff Sarwer (128,700), Gavin Griffin (101,700), 2010 BLUFF Player of the Year Sorel Mizzi (74,400) and Jeffrey Lisandro (55,000).

The total field after the first two starting days is 446 players which is slightly behind the pace from last year when 476 played on the first two days. Day 1c had the largest starting group last year with 270 players and tournament organizers are hoping for 300 players on Tuesday to match the total field from 2010.

The third Day One plays out today, with all fields combining tomorrow.
