While there were only 19 entrants in the €10,000 WPT Venice High Roller event, 30-year-old Swedish poker pro Bjorn Lindberg made the most of his play taking down the title and the €70,700 first prize. Heads-up, he defeated 24-year old German poker pro Marko Neumann who won €53,100 for second.

Dario Minieri was eliminated in sixth failing to reach the money although he made the final table. He went out on a tough hand where both players turned over pocket sevens, unfortunately for Minieri his opponent ended up seeing four spades on the board and getting a flush to win the hand.
