Immediately after the disbandment of Druidz Qpad, GameReplays caught up with former Druidz captain Revyy to enquire about the situation in an interview. They also took the opportunity to ask him about DreamHack Winter, S2 Games and his view on certain heroes.

We all saw your team in the Dreamhack finals, congratulations on the second place. Could you tell us the difference between playing the finals of a tournament over LAN and online?

“Well, I don't really have a lot to compare with since this was my first LAN final ever. Comparing DreamArena to a final online is like comparing going to the moon to getting a drink in the kitchen.

It was completely insane, when you play online all you have to focus on is the screen in front of you and the game at hand, and it's easy to do so because there's nothing there to draw your attention away from it. Playing at the DreamArena was like playing in a room where the walls were made out of speakers with naked girls parading in front of you. There was so much going on around you, not to mention the huge crowd, and I for one had a hard time even looking at my screen because I wanted to see what was going on around me. Because of that I think experience is really important going into finals, and I'm sure that it won't be so much of a problem next time.”

Could you tell us what's been going on with your team, and what happened after you came home from Dreamhack?

“Well I am still not really sure what happened. At Dreamhack everything was jolly good. When I got home on Sunday Twista had apparently made up his mind to leave the team....It turned out though that the rest of the team wasn't interested in that and that they wanted to take some time to think about things...

...I'm not really mad though, it's their choice to make, but I am a bit disappointed, since I sacrificed so much for that team. I do however wish them luck in the future with their new team.”

If there would be one thing that you think S2 should take to heart, what would it be?

“Coming from DotA I think that S2 is doing a really good job most of the time, in DotA you sometimes had to wait 6 months for a new map, here we get patches once or twice a month and fast fixes if there is any major bug.

There are a few things they need to improve though, like fixing that damn label bug where you get an info box stuck to your mouse pointer, most annoying bug ever imo. They should also get Team Matchmaking sorted out right away, since people have been waiting for that a long time and it's one of the things that people are pissed about. They should also stop porting heroes altogether imo, now that DOTA2 is announced I think it's important that they start shipping out more of their own heroes to make the differences more noticeable. One of the reasons to try HoN, except for the engine and all that, is the new heroes. If both games have the same heroes, then people will most likely just chose the original ones instead.”
